SHE DID IT!!!

I'm sorry Melissa . . . but I can't stand it! I won't go into complete detail (yet). I will let her post first before I will, but my amazing daughter ran and finished a 50K (33.6 miles) this weekend. I am still in awe of this awesome experience. She finished at 8 hrs & 46 minutes. I am so proud of her I can't stand it. I was crying each time she ran into the aid stations that I was at. I cried as I waited to try to run in with her at a couple of those aid stations. I cried at the finish line and I'm crying again now as I relive it in my mind. I have nothing to do with this achievement of hers. I did not help her in her training. I did nothing. She earned this glorious achievement all by herself!! My niece, Rachel Stewart, also ran with Melissa. She too finished just under 8 hours. She too has sacrificed so much to do this. She is a mother of three and there were many days when she met Melissa, during their training, at 3-4:00 in the morning. Amazing women, don't you think? I will, later, post more about this. Call it bragging, call it whatever you want. I deserve this right!!
