Brent works at Frys in the produce and floral departments. I kind of teased and hinted to Brent that now that he was in the floral department that mothers love flowers, even the semi dead ones that are occasionally thrown away. He gave me one of those looks, you know the ones that means, "Why would I give you flowers? It's not your birthday and you're not sick" kind of look. So I laughed and walked away. Well a few nights later I came home from work (not a particularly great day) and there on the counter were these . . . .

Aren't they pretty? Doug was sitting near them, so I just assumed they were from him. When I asked what the special occasion was, he simply said, "They're from your son". Brent wasn't home because he was playing in a City softball game, but don't worry, he was thanked and rethanked.
Then on Monday of this week it was Administrative Day. For those of you who don't know what that means, its a day where you're suppose to honor the person that keeps your office running and your clients happy. You know, gives you the opportunity to go golfing every other day and let's you afford the BMW's and Hummers, while she's at the office billing away . . . yea you know who I'm talking about. Well another year and another Administrative Day going right by me without so much as a word from anyone. So on Wednesday, I hear the front door of the office open and I get up to find out who was there (because the receptionist isn't in) and there was Melissa with flowers!! Very loudly she says, "Happy Administrative Day!!!"
Aren't they beautiful? I can't believe she drove all the way over (I work in Tempe) to bring me these . . .

Flowers have a way of just making you smile on the outside, but great children who are living right and love you, make you smile inside and out. Thank you Melissa & Brent ~ I LOVE YOU BOTH!!!

AAWW thanks mom. But I have to confess my motives weren't innocent. I was really trying to make your boss feel bad for being such a jerk! And you deserve it. I hope they don't read this!
Don't tell my mom about this. I don't want her getting any ideas...I'm sure glad our familes are close so that we can spend time with your two or should I say three (Aaron) wonderful children.
