Doctor . . .

When I was little, my parents made me go to this dentist that I believed was wicked. I truly believed that he hated children, especially me. I cried everytime that I had to go to him. I would start crying the minute I got in the car for the long drive to his office (which was only 2 miles from my house) and I cried the entire time I was there. I even cried as I was picking out my prize from the treasure box that he had in his office for the "good patients" to pick from. Now that I think about it, those prizes were not very good. What a joke! He use to almost sneer at me and tell me I was acting like a baby. I think he would start work on me before the deadening medicine would kick in on purpose. So, I have been afraid of dentists ever since. I have, within the last few years, "cowboyed up" and have somewhat mellowed out and I'm not too scared anymore.

Now where is this blog headed? Most of you know that Melissa got married almost 2 years ago. She married Aaron Kleiner. I love Aaron. When I tell people how many children I have, I'm proud to tell them three. I gave birth to two and eternally adopted one. My son-in-law is an awesome man and I am so grateful that he married Melissa and is now a member of our family. Here is the deal . . . . my dear, kind son-in-law has been accepted into dental school. HE'S GOING TO BE A DENTIST!!!! Isn't it funny that one of my biggest fears in life was being in a dentist chair - ha!! I am so glad that I overcame that fear -- I'd hate to be afraid of my own son-in-law. Aaron has a much better personality than old Dr. O'Dell and I bet he will have much better prizes in his treasure chest for his young patients to pick from. Congratulations Dr. Aaron Brent Kleiner - I'm so proud of you!!

Excellent news for sure! I am just so excited for them. What a great picture of Aaron. I am not sure I have ever seen all their wedding photos. I will have to ask Melissa to see them.

BTW - Ditto on the dentist fears. I don't remember bawling my eyes out but I HATED going to the dentist.
