Missionary Update

Just a little update on our missionary for those of you who are following on Brent's progress. (Of course I think only one person reads this blog and that's my daughter, Melissa - ha!)

We got the following pictures today from Brent. Doesn't he look like he's enjoying himself? He's in the Andes in a remote area called Honkopampa, Peru. He calls this his "alza la voz in the wood factory" - or group preaching.
Notice how he had the two Elders wearing boxes decorated to look like the Bible and Book of Mormon? Reminds me of the many talks he gave in Primary when he was little and he always had to have visual aides. Makes me laugh!

Beautiful waterfalls. He said it is cold, but yet he wears shorts!

This woman is spinning wool to make thread. Notice the big pile of sticks behind her. She'll carry this bundle on her back.

Service project - the Elders are sanding all the paint off of the Branch President's house as part of a remodeling job. Looks like they are having a good time getting dirty.
He expresses to us in every single email that he loves the people of Peru and he loves this mission experience. I'm sure they (the people of Peru) love him - how can they not?

I read it three! (Sorry, my Dad would have said that!).

Brent always seems to be having way too much fun! Those book costumes crack me up! Did he make them? You should be very proud of him. He is doing so much good!

You keep blogging. I enjoy hearing about you!

Hi Lori! I found my Scrabble tiles in old Scrabble games at Goodwill and a yard sale! I don't know if you can buy them without the game?? If I find out, I will let you know!

Brent is such a happy young man! I love seeing pictures of his adventures! Lori
