My Mother's Day

Well this post does not have any pictures, because, well I didn't take any pictures of myself and no one else ever has a camera with them. Need to work on that.

Well I had a really nice, no, great Mother's Day. It started with noise in the kitchen where I found Doug & Brent making breakfast. Doug was making scrabble eggs and Brent was "popping" open cinnamon rolls (hey this is still a gourmet breakfast to me). I had breakfast and then I opened up a gift from Doug. New cologne (Chance by Chanel ~ really yummy!) I also got a corsage to wear to Church. Great talks in Church and then I was asked to give the closing prayer . . . always very stressful to me because it makes me nervous to give prayers in public - but actually it wasn't too bad. We got home and I made some scrapbook pages in my craft studio (they turned out really cute) . Brent & I went over to my Mom & Dad's to give her a gift (made her a really cute frame that I covered in scrapbook paper, distressed, etc. and added a nice picture of myself). I gave her chocolate covered strawberries and one of my homemade cards. Visited for a while and then came home to pick up Doug and we all went over to Aaron & Melissa's for dinner. It was WONDERFUL!!! She made sweet pork salads (well Doug made it into a burro since he isn't too fond of salads and Brent, being the bottomless pit, had one of each). She had a mango salsa with it and I'm telling you, if you've ever had the pork salad at Costa Vida, this was much better. Then we had ice cream sundaes for dessert.

I was spoiled and I enjoyed every minute of it. Brent even cleaned his room (I know, I need to document this day for sure). I love my children more than I could ever express here - all three of them and I love Doug very much too. It was a great day!
