Saying Good-Bye Is So Hard

Elder Reina has been Brent's companion for a while - they said good-bye today. Elder Reina is returning home to Ecuador. I'm going to miss seeing pictures of them together and hearing about him.

It is so wonderful and comforting when you know your missionary has a good companion. We have had several of Sarah's companions in our home (some before Sarah even came hoe herself!) and it was always such a treat. I am sure Brent's companions feel the same way about him!

Lori; I was checking Marianne's Blog and wanted to comment but for some reasn could not get the comment page to open. Since my comment concerns you I decided to put it on your Blog. The little dressing table shown in the picture of Sharon, asleep, originally belonged to
Doug's Mom, Lora. When I first met Uncle George she and Homer were living down the street from the Ellsworth home on Hobson Street. She had this little dressing table in her bedroom. It hadf a pretty little ruffled skirt around it. She gave it to me when we got married. At the time the picture was taken the skirt had gotten old and I hadn't replaced it yet.. Just a little bit of nostalgia I thought you would like to know. I am a sentimental old girl about little things like that. Bits and pieces of past family history mean a lot to me. In the pictures Marianne has are a couple of cute ones of Doug and she at Grandma and Grandpa Ellsworth's place on Nina Drive and Broadway. Hope she posts them so you can see the4m. I do want Doug to have copies. Love you guys. I do wsh that sometime when I am there, Martha and i can get with as many of you as can for a few hours. Ralph called me awhile back and said he would like that to happen. I am beginnng to feel a little lonely sometimes. My large family are all gone except me and 2 sisters and all of George's family except Martha are gone. I can't imagine how she feels. I am hoping to be with Richard and Sherri for Christmas. Take care Love Aunt Helen

Hey Lori! I saw your comment on the photo of the kids and the car. I want you to know that we have some photos that nobody has ever seen as far as we know. My mother found a very old roll of film among hers and Dad's things when she moved in with Gena a few years back. She was curious, of course, and had it developed. It turned out to be photos of my grandparents (Frank and Annie Ellsworth) and their children in the 20's and 30's. I think yesterday's photo is one of them. Mom told Martha about them and she said she had never seen them. I decided to take matters into my hands and get them all scanned along with everything else we have so that we can share them with you. I am doing it now and looking into photo sharing sights so you can all download them. I will probably send discs to Martha. I talked to her about this at Uncle Robert's funeral and mentioned that she has photos that we (my family) don't have. I am thinking of the ones Aunt Ruth used in the blue Ellsworth book that they printed in 1981.There are a few of Annie I would love to get decent copies of.There have to be others as well.I want to somehow get everyone on board so that we can all share what we have. When the photos are up on the web I'll let you know. You can spread the word among Doug's family. I'll contact Matt, Dorne, and Cory because I have their Email. I also got Robert's girl's and Deana's. We'll go from there! I am a photo scanning maniac!
