This is from an old song written by John Denver and something Brent is relating to right about now. He is officially on his way to Peru as I type this. In fact he should be arriving in about an hour and a half!! I got to talk to him a little bit this morning before he left the Provo airport and so did Melissa. Then he called again this afternoon and I was able to do a conference call and had Doug part of the conversation. We got to talk to him for about 45 minutes as he was waiting in the Atlanta, Georgia airport. HE SOUNDS SOOOOO HAPPY!!!!! He really does.
We also got in the mail today a very long letter and his camera chip. He is such a great writer that his letters are wonderful. There is a funny video on his chip of him having a race in a laundry basket (being pushed by one of his good friends from Mesa, Zach Johnson) at the MTC. Once someone can show me how to download it I will. It is so funny.
Today has been a really good day!

Yay for Brent, I bet he will have a great time. I hope you share the videos when you get them downloaded :)
Hi Lori! That is happy news! I am glad to hear all is going so well for him! Now the wait begins for those first letters from the field. How great that will be!
About the video...look up where you click to upload a photo. THere is a little film clip. You just click on that. The process is the same as for pictures. It just takes longer. I have found thatif the clip is longer than about three minutes they don't post, too long I guess! Good luck!
Say hello to Doug for me!
Mom told me he got to Peru ok. What a relief. Keep emailing me his letters when you get them, I love hearing about him.
Lori, I just read your post. What a nice looking young man Brent is. If I remember right, the morning you came over to Richard's, when Susan was sick, you had him with you and he was just a baby, probably could have been one or two. How time flies. Like our song says, "Time flies on wings of Lightening." the instant I looked at the picture, I thought he resembled Ralph a lot but I could also see you through his eyes. I may be wrong but that is how it looked to me. I know how proud you feel right now. It is wonderful to have a son so willing to go on a Mission and to serve for two years. I know he will be a good one, he has wonderful parents as examples and who taught him well, I am sure.
Give Doug a big hug for me. I have the cutest picture of he and Marianne, in front of Granny and Grandpa Ellsworth's home on Nina Drive. They were maybe two, or around there. When I can get to it I will send you a copy. Lot's of love to both of you. Aunt Helen
Lori, thanks for the sweet comment on my blog, it made me smile. You are too nice :)
I hope Brent is doing well.
Hi Lori!
I sell my aprons for $35 and I actually have a few made and ready for sale. I have one left of the Halloween apron already made. Email me at davenapril@aol.com and we can chat more if you are interested. If I get an order for specific fabric I have in stock, I can usually make the apron within two days and get it shipped off the next. Looking forward to hearing from you.
And, I loved looking at your pictures of your son leaving on his mission. It makes my heart swell anytime I see a young man make such a wise choice and wear that missionary badge proudly! Good job Mom and Dad!
Lori- I am so glad that you had a good day, Sweetie! I know you must be so proud of your son!! Please keep us posted on his adventures, Lori. What an exciting time in his life.
